Romain Felber, Group CEO of Felber & Associés, and Odiane Lokako, president of the Fondation Lokako by ELCOS, were received at the Federal Palace in Bern by Ignazio Cassis, Federal Councillor, head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and Vice President of the Swiss Confederation.
The discussion focused on the economic situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where the group has been active for many years, notably through the Parc Agro-Industriel de Dingila. Odiane Lokako called for closer cooperation with Switzerland on vocational training, entrepreneurship and the employability of young Congolese. Ignazio Cassis outlined Switzerland’s Africa strategy, built on skills, excellence and vocational training.
Building on this, the delegation proposed a Swiss centre of excellence and innovation in Kinshasa.
