The Fondation LOKAKO fights for the dignity of women in the Congo, trains young people and develops play and sports activities for children in war-torn areas.

The Fondation LOKAKO continues the work of ELCOS. In 2024, to work on a larger scale, particularly in training young people, ELCOS changed its name to Fondation LOKAKO by ELCOS ASBL.
ELCOS (Ensemble Luttons contre le SIDA, “Together against AIDS”) is a non-profit foundation (ASBL) founded in 2003 by Odiane Lokako. Aware of the disadvantaged status of women in the Congo, and in particular of the atrocities committed against women in eastern DRC, and able to rally material and financial support for her sisters, Odiane Lokako has worked since 2003 to restore hope and dignity to the most deprived.
Family assistance, building schools, and caring for and reintegrating women who have been raped and rejected by society are the priorities of ELCOS’s work.
